The Mission of Altra Service Professionals is to provide exceptional service on a consistent basis to ensure total customer satisfaction. This will be achieved by partnering with individuals and companies with similar goals and values.

ASP works with all sizes of health care providers from smaller one site companies to large national organizations. We also perform repairs for people that own their equipment. Our close relationship with UPS allows us to service any state quickly and cost effectively. Whether it’s selling refurbished equipment, consulting, or performing medical equipment repair, ASP is the company with the experience and integrity other companies trust to work with. ASP is an Authorized service center for Philips Respironics and ResMed. We are able to complete warranty repairs, as well as, out of warranty repairs. We specialize in Home Respiratory Medical Equipment repairs for portable oxygen concentrators and CPAP machines.

The goal at ASP is simple: Your complete satisfaction. We’re a different kind of repair company; one that puts the customers best interests first. We believe that our long term success is dependent on earning and retaining the trust of our customers. We are not trying to maximize a “sale” associated with your equipment repair. We are managing our relationship by recommending appropriate outcomes, even if that means telling the customer the machine is not worth repairing and to decline the repair. We are experts in medical equipment repairs and our customers look to us for guidance in addition to performing the standard repair. Bob DeChello

Robert DeChelloBob DeChello is the President and Co-Owner of Altra Service Professionals, Inc, a full service Medical Equipment Repair company located in Ocala, Florida. Bob has over 25 years experience in the HME industry with a focus on operations, distribution, and cost reduction.

Prior to starting ASP, Bob worked as the Director of Operations for Critical Homecare Solutions, a national HME, Infusion, & Home Healthcare company. He spent four happy years with the CHS team with primary responsibilities including new acquisition operations integration, implementing and overseeing the centralizing of various departments, writing and implementing policy and procedures, and managing respiratory related purchasing agreements. Prior to CHS, Bob worked for Professional Home Care Services, a regional HME provider located in New England, for almost 10 years where he was the warehouse & distribution manager.

Bob lives in the Ocala, Florida area with his wonderful wife and 2 energetic boys. Bob enjoys doing anything that involves spending time with his family. The DeChello family moved to Florida in 2008 to get away from the cold New England winters, but enjoy visiting friends and family there. Prior to moving to Ocala, they lived in the Jacksonville Florida area for 4 years.

Laurie DeChello, MPH, CPH

Laurie DeChello Blog PhotoLaurie DeChello is the human resources, accounts receivable, health educator, ventilator service technician, and a co-owner of Altra Service Professionals, Inc. Laurie has her Master’s in Public Health and is also Certified in Public Health. She writes a health blog for the ASP website regarding issues related to respiratory illnesses and treatment. She also assists in keeping the office running smoothly, including making sure Bob & Tony behave themselves.

Laurie has taught college level courses for Kaplan University in the health sciences. She previously taught public health courses at the University of Connecticut and performed epidemiologic research (the spread and control of diseases) also at the University of Connecticut for 11 years. She is widely published in the medical literature.

Laurie lives in the Ocala, FL area with her amazing husband, two adorable boys, three dogs, chickens, goats, and pigs. She enjoys cooking and entertaining at her home. She is also busy keeping up with her two teenage kids.

Tony Ingham

Tony Ingham is the Vice President and Co-Owner of Altra Service Professionals, Inc a full service Medical Equipment Repair company located in Ocala, Florida. Tony spent the earlier part of his career managing the costs associated with equipment failure and feels strongly that well maintained equipment is the key to a successful HME organization. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and passion for Equipment Management with companies of all sizes ranging from Local to National providers to offer mutually beneficial solutions to their equipment repair needs. His goal is to work with companies to help decrease their financial liabilities in regards to equipment failure and to offer up strategic solutions that work best for each particular company.

Prior to accepting a position with ASP, Mr. Ingham worked as a Respiratory Account Manager for Covidien covering CT, RI and portions of New York. His primary duties included prospecting new opportunities while maintaining existing relationships with Homecare Dealers of all sizes as well as calling on Physicians and Sleep Labs to promote new and existing products.

Prior to Covidien Mr. Ingham spent 11 years in various roles at Professional Home Care Services, Inc a regional HME/Infusion provider in New England. He was a HME Operations Manager, and Account Manager. His primary responsibilities as HME Operations Manager were Equipment Management, Asset Control, Purchasing Contracts, DOT Regulation, DOT Physical and Drug file management, policy and procedures, logistics and implementing and ensuring that all Federal, State and Local regulations were being followed. This included FDA, OSHA, and DOT. Mr. Ingham received his OSHA Training Certificate in 2005 and served as President of the companies Safety Committee for 3 years.

Tony began his healthcare career in 1992 working for Glasrock in Massachusetts before re-locating to Connecticut to work for Homedco after they purchased Glasrock. He spent 5 years in the Distribution department of both companies which became Apria Healthcare, and left in 1997 to work for PHCS.

Tony lives in Ocala, FL with his dog, Betty Boop. He enjoys spending free time with his daughters and wife.

The Manufacturer of my portable oxygen concentrator recommended Altra Service for a diagnosis and repair. I sent my concentrator via UPS and received an email from Bob with the good news that my machine was still under extended warranty. Bob made the necessary repairs and quickly sent it back to me. I paid the UPS charges both ways but there was no charge for the repairs. Bob was so very nice on the phone and thanks to his extended research, he found out about my warranty. The place is a little tricky to get into the address is on the side of the building as soon as you pass that you'll see a driveway and down that driveway or two docks the first DOC is for a tile store the second one is for Altra. You have the option of backing in and backing down into their dock or you can turn on the street before them and and then turn into the driveway and come around back and try it from that direction either way it can be tight and challenging I'm going to post a few pictures to give you an idea the staff is very friendly

I had an excellent experience with the people at Altra SP. My CPAP was repaired speedily and seemingly effectively over the Xmas and New Year period 2023/4. There was a minor email issue which slightly delayed the repair and return process but I was not inconvenienced. I was initially apprehensive but rapidly reassured by the responsive and friendly exchanges with Altra. (To those who weren't happy with their service I would suggest that an open and polite approach is helpful.) Thanks Tony, Cassidy and everyone else involved in the repair.

Sent to Repair Authority just for routine service that wanted over $600 to rebuild something that was working. I got it back and sent it to Altra Servic Professionals they charged me $45 for full diagnostic and routine service. You tell me who you think the honest merchant is.

Year later sent one in for repair and it was back in two days and ready to go.

I agree with other posts. I was skeptical that this would end up being money out the window having to send my machine in and waiting. But I was so happy with their process. I sent my machine in, about 5 days later, I received an email that they received my machine. 2 days later, I got an email explaining what was needed (again, I thought for sure they would say both board and motor would need replacing whether they were both bad or not, but no, they told me it only needed a motor) along with an estimate of 275 I think. I approved via reply. About 5 days later I received my machine back and it is working like new! I never do reviews, but you guys deserve it. Thanks so much.

A VERY CLEVER $CAM , it works like this. On their website you fill out a web form specifying the make, model and the serial number of your equipment. You are then redirected to a UPS site where you print a shipping label. You then package and ship your equipment with the label you printed. Afterwards you receive an email saying that they don't service your make and model. You protest by saying but the web form, I was very accurate! they respond by saying that people are ignorant and they will type anything into it, I tested this by typing complete gibberish and I still received a shipping label. Why is that? Well, for a price of a shipping label they can receive free medical equipment. I pointed that out and Alta said why would the want that? We don't even fix it. Let me ask, why would I want your broken boat, your broken gold chain, your broken Mercedes Benz? Because it has value. Be very cautious with these people, I l already have contacted Florida AG Office on this matter. How many more sick people have fallen into this trap?

The site clearly states the units we work on, and SleepStyle 600 is not listed. This unit is rare and we have never received one in the past. Although it may have value to someone, that someone is not us. We emailed you Monday morning, before we were even open (7:27am to be exact) to tell you we do not service this model. You continued to send it in. As our website states, if a repair in not completed, you can either have it scrapped for free or returned for the shipping cost. If we are scammers, we are the worst at it. We pay for the inbound shipping, so I'm not sure how we made money off of this one. In any event, Fisher & Paykel do not sell repair parts. They have, in the past, taken units in on trade, however, you will need to contact your homecare company to arrange that for you. Be well-

I use a Res-Med bi-pap machine and put vegetable wash in the water tub by a huge mistake a year ago...mix-up...and I asked suppliers locally to see if it was ok after telling them what I had done and all said it was ok..checked out..however, I would be very out of breath (extremely) when using and not when I did not use it and it seemed to be causing palpitations for me more so after using and so I had to quit using it for almost a year. I would try off and on with bad results. Finally I found a repair service (one of 3 in the USA I was told) so chose to send to ASP Altra and they confirmed that it had been affected and fixed the problem. I can happily say that I can now use it again and it seems so much better, no huge event changes like before even before I used the wrong water... and I can happily breathe during the day again without getting so out of breath and at night breathe so good again when using! Actually better and it is consistent! My palpitations are gone now except when I forget a pill...They also found the pressure setting too low, as well. They did all of this quickly and very professionally and helpfully. I think probably it was off since I received it and my supply place in MI gave me one that had belonged to someone else I know for a fact because the person at my supply place said there was a mix-up and serial number said my machine belonged to someone else... I will be having them check up on my machine(s) in the future just to make sure they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Thank you very much ASP Altra!!

Like others, I was concerned about my machine disappearing or not being fixed properly. So wrong. Fast, efficient service.
