Below are some issue that you may experience while using your DreamStation device.
No Power
Make sure that the power supply is a Philips Respironics Verify that all all connections are inserted and secure. Verify power supply is providing power to the device.
Airflow Does Not Turn On
This is related to either the blower motor or the main pc board.
General Noise
Humidifier seals are damaged Faulty blower motor
Whistling Noise from Humidifier
Humidifier seals are damaged Water tank is cracked / leaking air Flip lid latch not securing well. PAP and Humidifier not fully connected.
Airflow is Warm
Filters may be dirty Device is operated near sunlight or heating source. Heater plate or tube temperature may too high.
Unit Shuts Off
Auto off is enabled and high leak exists for a duration that triggers Auto Off. Faulty power supply Faulty blower motor Faulty main pc board
Dial Does Not Work
Damage to the dial Ribbon cable dislodged from the main pc board Faulty main pc board
Therapy Button Does Not Work
Button damaged User not pressing the button with enough force Faulty main pc board
Ramp Button Does Not Work

The Display is Erratic or Does Not Work
Physical damage to the screen or main pc board The device is in an area with high Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) emissions. Faulty display Faulty main pc board
Back Light Does Not Work
Ambient light sensor is blocked Faulty main pc board
Back Light Dims Too Quickly
User perception Ambient light sensor is faulty Faulty main pc board
Back Light Does Not Dim
Ambient light sensor is faulty Faulty main pc board
Can't Change Humidity Settings
User perception - can only change setting when therapy is active. You cannot change the settings in the device menu. Dial does not function
Heated Tube not Warming
Tube setting is 0 Not enough time elapsed to warm tube Connection not fully made Physical problem with the tube Electrical issue with the humidifier or PAP 80W Power Supply not being used User perception
Heater Plate Not Warming

Tank Runs Out of Water
Settings are at max for an unsuitable environment (set too high) User has a high mask leak Water tank is leaking
Humidifier Lid Won't Latch or Open

Doesn't Make a Call
Interface between PAP and modem not functioning
SD Card Error
SD Card corrupted Problem with main pc board
